Where is that poster who started that?

I am now hearing he maybe lucky to go 1st day.

Some guys have exceptional physical talent and then have a huge upside. I just dont see it with Smith.

I heard he looked awful at the combines. He didn't even participate in some of the drills and the ones he did participate in he looked really bad.

Anyone who thought he was going top 5 was out of his goddamned mind.

At the end of the day, no matter what he did in his senior season, he's still a 5'10 QB with questionable decision-making skills and was inconsistent for three years. One season doesn't change that.

He could be a servicable backup somewhere, though. He's gotta good arm.

Online Forums + Draft Talk = Usually means idiotic opinions.

seriously- you see it every time, especially w/ the NBA draft...people throw out opinions like they have a shred of knowlege on the subject.

I mean, just the other day...someone was talking about former AZ guard, Miles Simon was a projected Top3 draft pick...who fell to the 44th pick. Its hilarious.

I follow every draft watch dog site...and its always a good laugh to hear people throwing out things like 'Troy Smith is a Top 5 pick'...when all and all, its the lasting 'rush' effect of winning a bet from Smith's college ability.

put it this way, he is not 'allworld' like someone boasted , cough cough..

I still think he has a good arm and will make a team, I wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens pick him up cheap.

Yeah his not that special but I hope the Steelers pick him up and tutor him into the Randle El role.

He was on top of the world after beating Michigan. He did look great and had to be a pretty high draft pick at that point though I do not know where. As good as he looked against Michigan he looked just as bad against Florida. Lost in space was Smith. And since then, the word has not been good on Smith. Not sure on the exact numbers but Smith has fallen down in a big big way. it is rare that you see someone drop like this over a one game span and short period of time. The truth is he looked like a good NFL QB against Michigan and before but looked horrible and physically not equipped for the NFL against Florida. I think the word EXPOSED comes to mind. It was simliarto the Ohio State team. THey were great and looked like the best against Michigane and before and against Florida looked slow and simply not that good. You just do not see that very often but it happened here.

He kind of reminds me of Peter Warrick from a few years ago. He had amazing wide receiver ability while at Florida St. and had alot of fans beliving his top pick worthy but was shortly exposed at the combine for below average speed and his stock dropped like a cannon ball.

And even here there are some pretty good CFL QBs. Plus he may not be able to figure out the 12th man on defence (Hello Vince Ferragamo).

You can say what you want about peoples opinions but my opinion is better than almost anybody else's and that's just the way it is.

I have been saying all year that Troy Smith is not a very good QB and now most scouts are starting to see it also. Troy Smith does not have a very strong arm and it's not very acurate either. He can't even throw the 10 yard side line pass. He throws it short or wild and that alone makes him undraftable! He is not very fast at all either and will never survive in the N.F.L. without speed.

I don't even care about how tall he is because he isn't even a very good QB anyway. He is just another player who played on a great college team that made him look very good when he wasn't. It happens all the time and it was obvious from the beggining Troy Smith was in the right place at the right time.

I know he will get drafted some where after the 3rd round. And that will be a waste of a pick! Troy Smith will never play QB in the N.F.L. on a regular basis.

If he hadn't shet the bed against FL, he would be a top 5 pick.... that's the sad part.
