I just turned to it and they offered some chick like 500,000 empty aluminum cans.

Why? Why the hell would she want a million cans?

The contestant paid some of her tuition by collecting deposit cans and cashing them in. So the offer was for about 25K (500000 x .05 per can). 5 cents per can here in Mass

Cards are not returnable here in Texas. We just all throw them away with the garbage

Thanks everyone. Mystery solved. Just seemed like something out of left field to offer to someone with me not knowing the background. I expected them to offer her 10,000 half-eaten pizzas next.

I watched this once (UK Version). I'd hope if anyone from here got on they'd (virtually) never take a deal, each and every one is an awful deal EV-wise.

A bit OT, but. .

Everytime I see Howie I think of his germ paranoia. And sometimes you still see people trying to shake his hand, with which he just sticks out his fist to tap knuckles. It's a little uncomfortable for anyone who doesnt know he refuses to shake hands. Can't imagine what his sex life must be like. If he has one.
