Best college freshman ever continues to amaze....Texas may end up a #2 seed and the hottest team in the nation.

Rick Barnes with another squad peaking late in the year.

durant looks impressive - bill self is spitting and cursing a lot when hawks are on defense

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

durant is twice as good as oden..

a pro gm would have to be an idiot to pass on him in this years draft.

Oden will be drafted #1 ahead of Durant. Guaranteed. And he should be.

I never said he wouldn't be drafted ahead, I said I would take Durant, the jury is still out on who will be a better pro....Durant is a better college player that is for sure...in fact he may be the best freshman ever.

i'll say it.

i would take durant over oden in a heartbeat.

6' 9" . inside outside , can rebound and has nice range. shoots around 80 % from the line.

i get tired of watching oden shuffle up and down the court. i think he's soft.

i'm trying to think of former players to compare them both too .

durant / garnett ? maybe ??

oden / ????

This is kinda off topic as far as Oden vs. Durant, but what do you guys think of Acie Law IV? Do you think he's top 5 draft pick material?

And as far as Oden vs. Durant, I'd take Durant as well. The kid is just money. Once he gets in to NBA, he'll pack on some more meat to his frame and will be a dominant player.

Freshman that size just don't shoot that well that fast...Its unfair to even compare him to Garnett or McGrady...his skills will only get better that outside shot is going to be money for the next 15 years....

He may even still grow a couple inches and be close to 7 feet himself.

Give me Oden.

Too many great shooters have been busts in the NBA. Tragic Langdon for one. I never saw such a great shooter. Anywhere on the floor, swish. But couldn't hit broadside of a barn in NBA and is now in Europe.

Joe Forte another great college scorer.... bust. Tracy Murray... bust. Danny Ferry.... bust. Bo Kimble... bust. Harold Miner... bust. So many others that dominated in college but atrocious in NBA.

Shots will come and go but height stays the same. If the shots aren't falling, Oden can still be dominant on defense and rebounding. If his shots don't fall, Durant is pretty much useless otherwise.

All those players you just mentioned were stationary players....no comparison whatsoever.

Durant will be close to 7 ft by the time he's done growing, ridiculous comparison.

Just as many centers have busted...Durant is doing things in the Big 12 no player has ever done ....with a team of freshman, again no comparison.

I'm not saying Oden won't be great or as great.

Trajan Langdon and Durant comparison--thats new. Completely wrong but a new one.

I think Oden will be the #1 as well, and I think the reasoning is that he can be a franchise type player and the NBA general managers have loved this kid for years. NBA GM's would lose their job if they passed on Oden and he becomes what every one thinks he is going to become.

Durant is unreal. I think his shot is NBA ready and he is a great interior passer and can handle the ball.

Acie Law is great-- he will get punished for being a senior but he will be in the league a long time. Kid is tough as nails.

i dont care what Durant does vs college players

in the NBA no matter how good he turns out to be his position is a dime a dozen compared to Odens
