As a general rule I don't bet the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament...

But this year I will be attending the first and second round games at The HSBC Arena and betting smaller amounts for the first few rounds. I am already starting to get exited for March Madness, and couldn't imagine attending these games and not wagering. I'll bet office productivity will be lagging on that Thursday and Friday. Will any other Rx members be attending the tournament this year??

I will be there
Have you been before??
It feels like the LONGEST day ever. It is exciting--but if the games are a snoozer it is better to have $ on it.
The TV timeouts take FOREVER. There are 32 of them on Thursday alone.

Not over betting the first two rounds of the tourney is definitely a prudent course of action to take. Sometimes it seems these games are a coin flip as it's tough to factor heart and desire into capping.

Going further, all those breaks for TV, etc. make it really hard for any team to get a rythym going.

Geez. Think there is value those days. First years capping were tough as not much info on mid-majors like today. Yes, I took baths with Indiana losing to Cle St in 86 as 6 pt fav and having Mizzou in 87 losing to Xavier as 9 point fav and learning that mid majors and lower could play ball. Now 20 years later, with experience, the first couple days have been profitable. The lessser schools that were money as dogs has ended to some degree as exposure is everywhere. Also, everyone now knows less physiaclly gifted 22-23 year olds can and will beat precocous 19-20 year olds a lot more often than given credit.

My bag blow for 2007: a 16 beats a one. If a Big 10 team (most likely OSU) gets a number one seed and is fourth, I expect a tough game for that team. I loved wisky to reach Final four before Butch's season ending injury. That negates Badgers' high low game whenever Tucker played by smaller player. Now Wisky eill have Tucker guarded by bigger player keeping him outside where he is not as efficient offensively. Badgers' hopes ride on k taylor.
