How many books offer this in Vegas? Based on my last few trips, I only saw a handful that offered the true dimeline (some only up to -140). I wonder if things will change at all given the current offshore situation.

Your best bets for this upcoming season would be the Stratosphere, the Palms, and the Las Vegas Hilton.

To be honest, I don't know what their limits are, maybe 1 or 2 dimes at the most I would guess.

Waz,
We are no longer an independent book thus carry Caesar's lines.

GD - what are your max limits?

Is 1 to 2 dimes max basically how it goes all around town? Will anyone take 10 dimes on a MLB side?

Thanks

Plaza - Downtown

I've been asking around downtown.
(I work close by) They said they will have dimelines in baseball.
Not sure where it will break at - I'll verify when the season starts

What is the general max bet for baseball sides in Vegas? $500? $1,000? More?

Sorry - just read above post that answered my Q.

So can you get 10K down on a MLB side in vegas in a single bet?

Anyone know? Anyone can find out? It would be greatly appreciated.

Brock,
Barbary is part of the Caesar's/Harrah's network now as well. The casino is being renamed Bill's.

Vanzack,
Unless you are a big table or slot player, I would be surprised to see you get down 10k with much consistency in one shot.

vanzack,
maybe in a few places, maybe. the real answer is it depends on how stupid they think you are. your posts here dont come across as stupid so dont expect them to welcome your action because they wont

vegas just wants dumbasses to plink their money away into the quarter slot machines. vegas does not want to "gamble" on things they could lose, like big sportsbets.

So if I was a local in vegas, didnt play slots or table games, and just wanted to bet baseball it would be hard to get down 10K?

Does anyone know for sure these "few places" that might allow this?

It all sounds so vague, you would think they just have a limit and thats it.

Im just trying to weigh out renting a place out there for the summer vs dealing with offshore right now. I would need to be assured that if necessary that 10K wouldnt be a problem. Im surprised to hear that it might be, and disappointed.

Is there anyone out there - offshore or vegas - who will take a bet anymore? Its really frustrating!

Thanks to anyone who can provide some insight.

you would probably need to make 5 stops-or more-to bet 10k, unless you can talk to a manager at a place and tell him how much you would like to bet and see if he'll aprove those limits.

if your a local and you dont play in the casino they will asume you are sharp, or worse professional. or betting money for someone who is professional. none of these scenarios look good to them. basically, you will scare the shit out of them from the get go

So while I have your attention, I assume by your responses that it doesnt seem like a realistic solution to go to vegas to bet baseball if you:

bet 5-10K per game
bet up to 6 games per day
dont want to go to 15 books per day to get this done

Do I have this right? It seems logistically challenging (maybe impossible) to get this done. If you win do LV books ban or limit you?

Very sickening situation right now.....

I dont bet that much but any manager who approved 10k bets to you would quickly get in trouble with the higher ups if you got hot. maybe lose his job I would think.

Vegas ist Vegas anymore. they just want dummies who will play slots and all the new whacko table games pissing their money away and smile about it. then head out to a club and buy a $500 bottle of vodka for tableservice and pay for their meals and room because they dont know what a comp is

I take it you are local in vegas?

If so, would you mind just asking the next time you go up to the window what the max they will take on a MLB side is? Just their posted max, not manager approval etc.

I sure would appreciate it.
