Can't wait for the season to start so we can make some money. Thought there might be some value in playing teams based on their performance the past day. The thinking here is that spring training is random enough that if a team is shutout one day, the next day, if they are pitching anybody respectable, they should be more competitive. I also think certain teams tend to be more aggressive and attack at the plate during Spring Training and can put up big numbers against inferior pitching (Milwaukee, Cincy, Cleveland, St Louis.) If you look at the stats so far, some teams have just scored more. Should be interesting to see if we can spot any reliable trends by the end of the month.

For tomorrow:

The Mets look prerty good tomorrow, only having scored 1 against Cleveland today they start Glavine with Wagner Sosa and Heilman in relief against the Astros who won 9-2 on Saturday and 5-0 yesterday. The Stros are starting journeyman Brian Moehler and Dave Borowski and two minor leaguers will see some action.

Also, I like the Pirates and their young pitching staff against Moyer, who has his spot all locked up. The A's Joe Blanton has had shoulder soreness and gets his first start of the spring tomorrow, the Rangers are pitching a few guys who haven't thrown yet and Jason Marquis and the Cubs go against the Brewers and C Vargas who was roughed up his first time out. I'll check back in tomorrow morning with hopefully more new probable pitchers and some plays instead of leans.
