Being an MVC fan, one that surprises me in a negative way is Wichita St. Top 10 in the country 2 months into the season, and they finish 17-14 overall, 8-10 in conf.

UNLV, would never have dreamed they would be 26-5 and in top 25 at this point.

Syracuse. Just a few weeks ago they were written off. They started to play that zone defense real well. Won 5 of last 6 and picked up a very qaulity win beating Georgetown, And have a shot at getting into the big dance.

Proof that the big east is still a very strong confrence.

Pitino is one of the best college coaches in recent memory...love him or hate him, there is no denying he can coach college basketball. The NBA is a different animal and some coaches are just better fit for college...he is one of them.

They are playing tremendous defense.
