You can manufacture it just like with a baseball +1.

With +/- 1.5 and +/- 0.5, you can synthetically make +/- 1 by yourself.

For example, -0.5 -200 and -1.5 +155 = -1 -118.

+1.5 -175 and +0.5 +170 = +1 -102

Two correct answers, its available at 5 Dimes and you can manufacture it.

From 5 Dimes:

<table class="module" rgfloat="440,600" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="800"><tbody><tr style="height: 28px;" bgcolor="#f6f6f6" valign="bottom"><td nowrap="nowrap">Tue 3/6</td><td nowrap="nowrap">51 </td><td nowrap="nowrap">New Jersey Devils</td><td nowrap="nowrap"><input id="radiox" value="S1_1" name="radiox" language="javascript" onclick="return OnButtonClick()" type="radio">-1 -121 </td><td nowrap="nowrap"> </td><td nowrap="nowrap"><input id="radiox" value="L1_1" name="radiox" language="javascript" onclick="return OnButtonClick()" type="radio">Over 5 -150 </td><td nowrap="nowrap"> </td><td nowrap="nowrap"> </td></tr><tr style="height: 28px;" bgcolor="#f6f6f6" valign="top"><td nowrap="nowrap">7:05PM (EST) </td><td nowrap="nowrap">52</td><td nowrap="nowrap">Philadelphia Flyers</td><td nowrap="nowrap"><input id="radiox" value="S2_1" name="radiox" language="javascript" onclick="return OnButtonClick()" type="radio">+1 +101 </td><td nowrap="nowrap"> </td><td nowrap="nowrap"><input id="radiox" value="L2_1" name="radiox" language="javascript" onclick="return OnButtonClick()" type="radio">Under 5 +130 </td><td nowrap="nowrap"> </td></tr></tbody></table>

A "manufactured" Philly+1; play +1.5 RL $165 at -165 to return $265 and play $100 ML at +175 to return $275. Total stake $265, total return $540 or +103.77.

A "manufactured" NJD-1; play $190 at -190 on ML and $100 at +155 on-1.5 RL. Stake $290, return $545 or -113.7

Both synthetic bets are better by playing the lower vig bets. You can also shop for the best ML and RL.

Be careful with the -0.5/+0.5 goals in hockey. It only makes sense as an Asian handicap applied to the 60 minute game, excluding any overtime and shootouts.

thanks for the replies. I understand. I have a local that tells me he gives out -1.5 and +1 lines with zero juice on 90% of the games. I just want to compare.

I think their is HUGE poetential with this. I have to see what excaly he means later tonite.

When something is to good to be true it usually is. I will look at this later but it looks to have some cracks in its armor.

If he's good enough to get balanced action on each side (very hard to do, since most people should be able to figure out that the +1 dog at even money is +EV 90% of the time), he's making good money every time the favorite wins by 1 (-1.5 bets lose, +1 push), which it does a lot of the time these days.

He'll probably stop offering that when he's unable to stop the floodgates on the +1 dog.

Its a SPLIT line and it is hard to find value here.....

definitely not the preferred line for the NHL, although, you may find value from time to time...

You can do huge scalps by betting every plus-money -1 favorite at any online book. Example for tonight: Boston -1 +146 at 5dimes, and Philly +1 +100 with his local.

In the past, when bookies had this line, there used to be a possibility for ties, id be very curious to find out wether or not Icemnas bookie includes the shoot out when he offers the split line.... otherwise it wouldn't make much sense (imo)

what they would have done in the past was make Boston -1 goal and Philly +0.5 goal...... It is adjusted to make it almost impossible to scalp, otherwise they would get buried fast.

the split line can be adjusted and used to look like this when offered:

-2.5/+2

-2/+1.5

-1.5/+1

-1/+0.5

-0.5/pk

that is how the split line used to work in the past when NHL still had ties.
