Depends on how you view Covers as a competitor. We are forum-dominant while their forums are quiet. They are most-known for their proprietary stats.
When we run comparative stats on Hitwise, we run them against our direct competitors, then against our indirect competitors, and then against various industry sectors.
Overall traffic, however, isn't a very good indicator of the success of a site. You want targeted traffic, the kind that belongs here. One site I won't name posts articles on anything under the sun just to drive traffic to its gambling site ... it's great for showing high numbers, but does nothing for conversion or site loyalty. The teenage girl reading about Britney Spears probably isn't next in line to bet a dime on the Wolverines.

It seems that the other site is more heavy on picks on sports but kinda shaky about fiding out about BookXYZ.com (or a comparable to the Offshore forum here). I go over there very rarely but it would seem that the sports forums are pretty lively.
To be honest, I've not been there in at least a year, so maybe things are changing there. I've been able in the past to measure Covers' forum traffic (don't ask how, I'd have to kill you if I told you) and it wasn't nearly as high as that of the Rx's forums. Again, tho, that was some time ago. And over the past year, I've noticed they've increased internal links to their forums, explaining the jump.
