One, I feel bad for those who have that book as their only out. Two, seeing that makes me glad I left them a while back for better books.

Well, better to have late lines than no lines at all (Betjm). Been with Bodog for 3 years and they have great customer service and fast payouts. And sometimes lines are better than Pinny. Also their servers almost never go down. I'm keeping it.

I got to admit thier software is tits and playing the ponies is also tits.

Late lines and juiced up vig really negates all that though.

Horses and poker(though I;ve never played online poker a day in my life haven;t the time and don;t need another vice)and a vast prop bet selection is all thier good for.

I;m seeing payout problems of late i.e. post made by some on this site.

Well before the Neteller debacle, they had one of the juciest bonuses and definitely the best poker tables out there. You could've scalped all day long with their half and quarter NBA lines (albeit they will change your square lines to sharp lines if you win too much) and make a killing at the poker tables just by set mining.

Now without bonuses, most of the fish at the poker tables have left. and you're left with a bad book with no bonuses :smoking: .

Add the fact that there are 5-10 games per week (depending on season) that they have the best available line (usually on the dog side)
Very profitable site when choosing spots carefully.

A while back I asked them about their tardy hoops lines. Here is the boilerplate reply:

We post lines late on purpose. The earlier a line is posted, the more it moves, and the more it moves, the more risk for the House as well as an increase in professional/syndicate wagering.

By posting lines later than other Sportsbooks, we reduce risk and also cut down on syndicate wagering, both of which strengthen our
bottom line and allow us to offer industry leading customer service.

We realize that this costs us some business, but as 90%+ of football action comes in the 48 hours before kickoff and over 75% of baseball/basketball betting in the last couple of hours
before a game starts, we feel the tradeoff is a good one.

We readily admit that if getting early lines is a key factor in a bettor's choice of a book, there are a lot of better spots out there. However, if you want a reliable shop with great Customer
Service, we are the book for you.

Very interesting and honest response by Bodog there. Props on that, at least. I think it's the late season & conference tourneys but Bodog actually has more and more 1H & 2H CBB lines now. It seems to increase every week or so. Of course, as for when they release the lines, haha, I have been used to it anyway.

For example, I know for NBA 1H lines for games that start 7pm-10pm Eastern, Bodog doesn't release the 1H lines until @5pm Eastern! What makes it ironic is they release the whole thing once... so the 10pm games would have their 1H lines up for 5 hours, so that's ironic, is it?

Same with posting the CBB lines late, they'd show all the totals at once (of course only the ones that they intend to release) regardless of what time the game is... noon Eastern or 9pm Eastern (I think).

The only thing that they stick in showing different releases are when they have afternoon games and evening games for a sport... then they would only show 1H lines for the afternoon lines, etc (am thinking NBA here).

Now, one BIG praise, while I'm still waiting for a large check from mid-February, I made a new tiny withdrawal for March two days ago but using WU for the 1st time. My gosh, FAST FAST. Within 24 hours, they had the control code for me to pick up my money. I could have picked up the money yesterday afternoon, but I did so today for almost $1K cash. No probs.

I can vouch for that, I use WU for poker myself at BoDog.
Request it in the morning, you can pick it up by dinner.

This is about as honest and open of a response you will get from a sportsbook. It would be easy for them to make up some other BS but this is as true as it gets.

Ha. I got that same message in a live chat about 5 years ago back when I only had 2 books, so I left. I hate bodog.

I don't mind the late posting since I bet seconds prior to tipoff/kickoff. I've missed out on some bets that way but I feel I get the best lines.

If you are a true pro, there is always room for an extra out, including BoDog, you may not place as many wagers there, but you will find the BEST VALUE there on numerous occasions.
