What's your Best & Worst beats?

BEST: Spurs up 4 and Parker shooting FTs with about 10 seconds left.... Parker bricks both.... PJ Brown bricks a 3 and Magloire tips in the miss at the buzzer. Had Hornets +3.5

WORST: Princeton vs. Columbia last season... Columbia takes the lead with less than 10 seconds left.... then Princeton misses but refs calls a bogus foul with .1 sec left. Especially bogus since the clock operator had started the clock late and gave Princeton at least 2 extra seconds. Princeton nails both FTs and wins in OT even though they didn't make a single FG in the final 10 min of regulation. Talk about a FIX.

BEST: Back in college (97?) had Ohio State laying like 23 and they were up 17 with 20 seconds left. Dont even remember who they were playing but they were driving to score and the RB fumbled and OSU returned it for a TD and PAT for the cover. That was my biggest bet ever at the time. BOISE STATE money line was pretty sweet this year to in the bowl game.

WORST: Too many to list. One that always sticks out is the OT game with Minny/ATL a few years ago where Ron Mexico ran for a TD in OT and screwed my Minny+4!

Have taken alot of bad beats in my lifetime, but when referees give technicals after the game is over is when I begin to cry...it has happened to me two times and both times went against me....

Still believe this game was fixed somehow. Kiwanuka had Vince Young all wrapped up on 4th and 10 and for some weird reason he let Vince go and run for 19 yards.. I've never seen a guy just let a player go like he did, and I don't think I ever will again.

The whole 4th Quarter was a joke.

Had a couple of parlays ending that were paying HUGE!!

This happened over 3 months ago and I'm still not over it.

Best beat: Boise State winning the Fiesta Bowl

2nd best beat: Year before last's NBA Playoffs - Heat laying points at home to the Pistons. Pistons losing but covering and had the ball with a few seconds left. Dwayne Wade steals the ball and runs the length of the court for a slam dunk at the buzzer. Made the Heat cover.

Worst beat: Two-way tie - NFL this past season. Chargers come back to beat the Bengals, and uh, Chargers come back to beat the Broncos. Both really sucked for me.

Bet over 8.5 runs. Bottom of 9th or 10th inninng, game tied 3-3, Robin Ventura hits a massive Home run with the bases loaded. He got mobbed by his teammates rounding 1st. Was only credited with a single and one RBI. Final score was 4-3 instead of 7-3. Usually you get mobbed after you touch homeplate. Not one worst beat but simpliest one to post.

Worst beat: Can't remember the year, possibly '94 when Jordan had Pippen go take the free thows after the half of the all-star game. Needed to cover 3.5, extra free throw made it 4....never will forgive MJ for that.

N E scored a last second disputed TD to go up by 2 against Buffallo. Buffallo leaves the field in protest. The Center snaps the ball to the holder who flips it to Vinatierir to walk in the two point conversion unchallenged. NE wins by 4.

Bet $15k in August 2004 on Red Sox to win World Series.... Down 0-3 to the Yanks, and then to come back....i cried. After Game 7 vs Yanks, i hedged, in essence "cashing out" for about a $35k profit....

I think it's the worst because it had nothing to do with game action. At least last second shots and all are part of the game--you got screwed by a technicality.

On that note, I almost got screwed on Bodog's definition of a 2 point conversion attempt during the SB, but that ended up OK.

Never had a best beat but the worst beat was a few years ago NCAA Championship Game between UConn and Duke. Okafor made both free throws to cover the spread and then fucking Duhon made a pointless half court three at the buzzer to screw up the cover. Fuck, I'm pissed just thinking about it. God, I hate DUKE!!!

worst beat: Chris Duhon hitting that 3 against UCONN in the tournament. I had Uconn for quite some change and i was numb for a couple of days.

This reminds me...... Rivers throws a 37yd TD with 29 seconds left against the Seahawks.... putting a damper on my Seahawks ML celebration. Why that idiot Boulware wasn't standing 20 yards back and bit on an inside route is a mystery to this day.
