They will sign their usual lot of cheap and serviceable veterans. No way do they sign anybody for big bucks - they are one team that uses some sense when it comes to free agency

Nothing too exciting, but that has been the norm. They made an offer for Andy Lee, punter for the Niners.

Also are interested in Tully Banta-Cain, LB from the Pats.

Banta-Cain signed with the Niners, too.

Just read this morning that they are bringing in 2 OL; "Pork Chop" Womack and Sean Mahan.

Also, Alex Bannister to possibly fill the Sean Morey role on ST.

A LB finally visited, as well. Former Saints, and a backup for the Titans last year, Colby Bockwoldt.

They need a premier pass rushing OLB (or DE if they make the switch to the 4-3). Easily their most glaring weakness. Hopefully they hit the jackpot in the draft because they aren't going to shell out major bucks for a FA
