Books that Change Lines as you Bet

So sick and tired of this BS. 3 times I called a book today and asked for a Line. Example: What is the line for x team? They would give me the line and I would say: can I have a straight wager on team x for $500, etc. "Please hold sir".....30 seconds-1minute goes by: "Sir the line in this game has changed.......

I don't want to call out the book that is doing it, but they should be ashamed of themselves. Same shit online- place a large wager, hit submit- takes forever then a message "1 or more of the lines has changed". Such BS but I guess this is what we have to deal with.

I agree that it is BS, but are you chasing steam??? That is the only reason that I can think of.....

Hard to believe this happens...once a clerk quotes you a line it should not change unless you stall or something.

whats the secret. I think everyone would want to know that way we can either bet online so they can't move it on you or just stay away. please let everyone know. If its a major book, you naming it won't hurt it. But for the readers on the rx, it would help us a great deal. Are you on the books team or the bettors team? Lets here it. I have called books out so has lots of the others. Dont be scared, lets here it.

I don't want to name a book here- i am not about that. just pissed at what some books do

hate to say it but that's what happens when you play with these second tier books...many of which this forum endorses...sportsbook, bodog, vip, bestline, 5dimes, betmania, nine etc etc.

These books DO NOT like winners. period. luckily for them 90% of peeps lose.

Of course if you are "only" wagering $100 or $200 it is not usually an issue

for the 10% who win consistently and wager decent money, you need to play with the books the pros use, Greek, Cris, or Pinnacle. Pretty simple and cut and dry actually.

what is more of a concern is once "proffesional" books like Cascade and Heritage kicking out winners. The industry has really turned upside down of latef

Agreed, either name the book or stop chasing steam and you wont have to worry about lines being changed from what you were first quoted.

are the lines changing,...just before(15-0)minutes before game time?,......i dont wager much,especially like i use to, but once upon a day would actually like to hear(yes i called) a line change during the day/evening,..................it just seemed,....and yes this is probally outdated,...but once the steam,...and the other bs took over,...it didnt pay to fall into the line changes,...............boil it down,...for me,....early on=good,...now,...its more of a guessing game,.....hence im not wagering like i once was:monsters-

kk,..heres my thoughts,..and beleive me,.....im not bettting like i use to,...nor do i expect things to be like they use to(meaning,..sports betting could be fantastic,...or it could leave alot to be desired),.....i am however refering to the way some of the lines would move(upon a phone call) ,...especially a bb game or basketball,.......i could have the initial line,....chart it,...and catch a mover during the afternoon,.....and actually had a pretty strong play,.......but again,...i dont see it now adays and it got almost other sided at one point,.....just figured i would bring up the calling times,...back in the day.....:modemman: GL
