Seems to me that Ecocard may become the 1st Neteller replacement

Finally a company that seems legit - only time will tell, but they seem to be going the right way.

You can transfer to the account via bank or WU. Then you can use like neteller. To get money back, you have a debit card that you can load up and use at ATMs. It's not perfect, but a start.

So far, Cris has picked them up. Olympic's CS said they should have them within a week and WSEX is looking into them.

I signed up with them, but I don't like the fact that you have to wire them money instead of taking it out of your checking account like NETeller did. I like the fact that you can get money out via a debit card IF the fees aren't outrageous.

I also just signed up for ewallet which might be a better option. You can even deposit small amounts of money via a 900#!

When neteller opened, they did not take EFTs. They only took wires and WU.

I honestly don't mind. One wire every 6 months or year isnt so bad and you can go way over EFTs $s.

I've read that Ecocard is in Malta and Malta does not conform to US banking/patriot act laws. I can't seem to verify this, but I am sure someone will. If this is the case, it may be impossible for them to ever take EFTs as no processor would touch it, but Swift will wire anywhere in the world.

I signed up, but unless i'm missing something, where does it say anywhere that they send you an actual card. The only option I have for withdrawals is a bank wire.

Sean,
It said it does not take US currencies.

How do you deposit if it only take other currencies like Euro or Pound?
