Got a Weber yesterday...You guys think 1 grand is rediculous to spend on a grill? I sorta do, but I love this fucking thing already and haven't even cooked on it yet...

I dropped 7 bones on a stainless CharBroil. It's the nuts for BBQ parties, but I still prefer charcoal over gas. Gas just doesn't seem like the real deal.

# 1 -- I love that grill..

A grand is a lot for a grill but to tell the truth I wish I had one like it. My reasoning is why not buy the best for things that you use a lot in your home. Things like matresses, stoves, refridgerators, TVs, heat and air conditioning are some of the items I won't skimp on and try to save money by buying an inferior product. I love to grill and live in the perfect climate to do so year round and just happen to be in the market myself.

Bon Appetit - I hope you and your family enjoy the grill for years to come....

If you are going to use it a lot, and you have the money, then it is defintely worth it.

Once I move to a climate that is more suitable for grilling most of the year, I will be in the market for one as well and I won't skimp on a lesser model, it's gotta be the best on the market for me!!

BUY, BUY, BUY

its funny how some of us wont think twice about putting 5k on a team but try to save money on the things we use for daily living.............

I have a new outlook - you only live once, get the best stuff ...........
i just spent 20k on a dining room set for my wife- she loves it - and that makes me happy

nice grill...shame it'll be neglected out back and rusting in a couple years once the novelty wears off.

Stainless doesn't rust-that's why it's worth coughing up the coin for it.

Good investment. It's not like there's a damned thing to do in this town anyway - might as well enjoy a good BBQ at home.

It's all relative, I'm sure you will use it and get your moneys worth...what is the life expectancy on that grill? Break it down, I'm sure it will end up costing a couple bucks per time used after a few years.

What is your grilling specialty Chef?
