NYC is very close...you might want to spend the nights, or at least any downtime, there. Just a 10-minute drive on 3-East to the Lincoln tunnel. You can park at the Port Authority for $22/day (not sure of the shorter rates)...couldn't be easier to get in/out of the tunnel from there. Also, that spits you right into Times Square. You could stay in a hotel in the city, but I'm sure it would be cheaper to stay somewhere in NJ if there are any vacancies. Will you have a car? You don't really need one...buses run from the Meadowlands to Port Authority all day. And once you're in Mahattan, everything is in walking/subway distance.

If I was coming all the way from Atlanta I would want my tickets before I arrived. I would suggest Stubub.com The tickets are guarenteed and I have used them several times in the past. There is a mark up but the extra money is worth the peace of mind knowing you have your tickets lined up in advance in my opinion.
