I pretty much took a break in January right before the Neteller shutdown, and haven't gambled since because of all the unstable sites dropping and reopening, but I decided to get some action the other day at BookMaker. I really hate it that CC & Checks are only methods, but I noticed after I made my deposit via Visa (which went thru the 1st time) I noticed my bank card was put on hold and I Had to call my bank/fraud department to get the hold removed (which took about 30-40 minutes). how sucky is that? Anybody have similar problems, or does anyone know if or when a new stable solid "neteller" will emerge?

That usually always happens, especially if the deposit was fairly big, most companies just want to confirm that your made the purchase...After you talked with them, they took off the hold, correct?

I had that happen one time when I first got my Wamu card. Bitch was I didn't know about it until I went shopping and my purchase wasn't approved. Luckily I had enough cash on me to pay for the purchase and I immediately picked up the payphone outside the supermarket. They asked me all kinds of questions about myself and what other CC's I had in the past etc. Took me about 20 minutes to get off the phone with the guy. really sucked.

This is very common when purchases are made on online, not only gambling, but many things.

as soon as you verify the transaction was yours you shouls be fine....

hopefully they are not too nosy as to where it came from.

I see, well I never had this happen before but I mainly used NT, just curious if the new prohibition laws were affecting this, they fixed it immediately after i called but took like 40 minutes on the phone, and the amount wasn't that large <$200. anywho thanks for the input.

I been away from the sportsbetting world, is there any news on a new NT or anything? This cc/check thing really blows.. ., are ppl still gambling and just requesting checks as of now?

It a hassle, but I'm glad they do it. It's never been more than 'did you make a purchase at so and so', yes, and that's it. They've never been too nosy about it.
