I am starting with quotes from the Palms and the Hard Rock. We will go from there.
Man...the first one I was at was the Golden Nugget (about what one can expect for off the strip). Then the IP last year, which was basically the same. Both were awesome (it's hard to complain about being put up for free). But now we're potentially stepping it up to the Hard Rock or Palms? I'll be surprised if either of those places agree to hold all of us wild-eyed drunks for a weekend, but we can hope.
I do love playing blackjack at the Hard Rock, but I truly can't understand why they have no poker room. Think about all the themes they could choose...it could easily be the coolest poker room in Vegas if they did it right.
And WVU...I'm not sure how you think the Rio would be pricey when they seem to comp generously. I get free Rio room offers in the mail pretty often (from Harrah's who owns them...and I'm hardly a whale). My guess is it'd be one of the easiest to pull this off...
