SIU... Valley up and coming conference... he will help the conference build... has a chance to build a program and Southern has the money to pay him

No, they don't. They might pay him up to 350K, but he'd make 3 times that at any major conference school. I hope he stays, but he will be leaving a lot of money on the table if he does. Maybe he'll be like Dana Altman, but not many star coaches go that route.

No doubt he'll be moving on to a major program...too much money out there...one of the best coaches out there.

My Prediction: Michigan

Let's go Salukis! I'd love to see them pull off this upset.

I hope he stays. Lately coaches have been using SIU's b-ball program as a stepping stone. It would be nice to see him try to build the program into national powerhouse. Looks like alum better dig a little deeper in our pockets!

He is better off staying at Southern Illinois than jumping to Michigan, ought to wait for a better job to open up. Michigan's facilities are a joke and the AD has no desire to improve them

Michigan can thank Bo Schembechler for their mess. Had Pitino and Bo said a basketball coach will not make more than the football coach.

Iowa would be a nice destination for Lowery as Iowa sports are the pro sports in the state.
