Seems like a lot sportscasters have their own sayings. For NBA Toronto Raptors, the television play-by-play announcers say "Bring out the salami and cheese!" meaning the Raptors have the game in the bag. It's gotten pretty popular with the Raptor fans with some holding up signs with pictures of salami and cheese.

Raff. is great imo. Like all anouncers they tend to over do it at times..

I have the fortune to have grown up with Uecker for the Brewers and imo he is classic also.

Onions=balls...early onions as in showing alot of guts early....usually when a player is shooting with no conscience early.

i love the expressions Rafferty uses...he's corny and elegant at the same time... "the kiss is favorable"..."he keeps jammin' like that, he's gonna own a country!" Anybody else, I watch with the volume off.
