Did someone forget to tell the fans, announcers, players, and refs that there were only 30 seconds left in the game?? Place was dead quiet, announcers weren't into it, players looked almost disinterested

and how do the refs call a ticky tack foul on one end with 6.5 seconds left to seal the deal for OSU and then swallow their whistle on the other end

Most boring game that I have watched considering the circumstances. No atmosphere what so ever.

exactly.

this one ranks right behind the 2001 (maybe 2000? can't remember) College Football championship between Miami/Nebraska for me. Unless you were watching the clock you had NO IDEA the national championship was about to be decided on the last play of the game

Am I missing something as I recall that game was over before it started.

I was also thinking that these are the most boring one-point finishes I've ever seen. Perhaps they need to jack up the crowd mics a little bit.

Also, seems Dick Enberg is on the decline. So. Illinois down by 3 throws up a desperation 3-pointer and Dick's call is "For the WIN....."

Sadly, this is a mistake a younger man wouldn't make.

There were bad calls on both ends. Oden did not deserve 2 of those fouls that he got. They were giving everything to Tenn. and the end simply made up for some horrible calls made earlier. I don't see anyone bringing up the horrible calls made against OSU.

Pretty simple...the ref that called that foul under the basket had Tennessee +5 and didnt want OT.

Agreed on the atmosphere. It was a like a church during a funeral in there.

I don't think the crowd was the problem - it was the announcers. I thought many time during the game that Verne needed to jack it up a little bit. Maybe he needs to quit basketball and just do football. Would have been a completely different story if Gus Johnson was announcing the game
