I haven't followed the NHL too closely this year. Are there any Dogs today, that absolutely must win in order to secure a playoff spot?

Thanks, Hal

Let's hope...and add a Lightning home victory against the Sens so that Lightning grab back 1st place.....Tampa @ Atlanta to end the season...could have huge implications.

FWIW Pittsburgh and NY Rangers were the only successes last night for the Punters in which they lost every Total bet. Great night for the Books. :drink:

Savant,
What's the overall feeling of the likely 1st round matchup for the Sens against the Pens? I know the Sens have a history of not living up to talent in the playoffs, but Emery is playing much better and I love their experience (10 straight POs - are you kidding?) versus the 19 year-old squad and overrated Roberts.

Ottawa is a "Glass half full" type of town, and I think we are all scared shitless to face the pens to be honest.

That being said, I think Ottawa is the best team in the league (or damn close) since the all star break. Emery has been solid, and the team is disgustingly healthy.

There should be no excuse to losing to the penguins in the first round, as experience should pull the sens through it, but as we all know, the senators are a weak mental team.... If Emery lets in a bad goal, or if the Pens score a lucky win early, they might get into the heads of the senators and they may fold like a house of cards (similar to the way they did after blowing game 1 against the sabres last year).
