I have lost so many games where my team has had a Huge Lead lately!!

its crazy....

the other day Railbirds Play, Louisville ladies lead by a Ton with 10 minutes left in the game, and still fail to cover the +8 pointspread (not sure what their biggest lead was, but I am sure someone will mention it.

Last Night leafs are up 4-1 with 16 minutes left in 3rd and lose 5-4

Last night we all saw what happened with USC North Carolina, enough said...

cant believe how many huge leads have evaporated....

Yep, those are the toughest stretches cause you start 2nd guessing yourself, when odds are you had the game capped right in the first place, just got unlucky.

I beleive it was the last point in that lousiville basketball game which caused them not to cover with less than 1 second left, other than that they had covered every second of the game big....

USC up 17 yesterday in second half and still fail? wtf....

Was meaning this post-season. Reason I still bet? Cause they keep pulling me back in with these matchups and it's really hard not too.. It would drive me crazy if I was picking winners and not betting them..

I'm not hating on you, calm down. I just hate it when people blame luck on losses or say that betting on an entire sport is complete luck. If one TRULY believed that, he wouldn't bet on it.

When you say things like that, it degrades everything that people who have made $ on the sport have done. And it's obviously a bullshit statement if you still bet on it.

If you REALLY believe it's just luck, then stop betting on the sport. Plain and simple.

Not hating on you; just hating on that bullshit mentality that some people have. People need to accept responsibility for both their wins AND their losses.

This is why I waited til 2nd half to bet.... hit both GT & UNC.... all they had to do was win and that's what they did.

Posters are going to have to stop looking short term, you cant win every Game you play so what does it matter if you lose by 1 or 20. What counts is if you can honestly say to yourself " Am I doing something that will win long Term" and be comfortable with your thoughts. :drink:

once in a while winbet comes in and posts his words fo wisdom which I always find entertaining and even insightful. Wish you stopped by more often.

Thanks but not sure I'm so insightful as experienced, there isnt many situations in Betting I havent been in over the Years, good and bad. My betting today was a prime example of what I'm talking about, I laid the first 4 winners on English Horseracing at £150 a pop, which makes the normal person trying to lay for the first time run for cover and give up, but whatever you do, once you've validated it, you have to persevere. If anyone is botherd by the so called luck in betting hoops than one is not working hard enough to win at it, as I think getting the best number means absoulting everything in this particular sport.

I was struggling in early March but have came back to be 53.9% at 982 units bet (about 50% 1 unit and 50% 2 units). All you can do is go 50/50 with 90 bets out of 100 and than squeeze out a few more wins with line shopping. You have to see this thru and make 500 bets or so but eventually the close ones will go your way and you will realize that luck is on your side. I have the complete opposite view of this than you do.I know this takes away alot of the so called glamour out of winning by capping. I am not saying one cant beat this sport capping.

I think the reason most feel that way is they sit and watch every single minute of these hoop games and there is so many swings where at one time or another you are winning your bet and than the bettor gets pissed because he lost. Both sides of the bet feel they deserved to win their play.

A guy with your passion should attempt to just line shop this sport with 5 outs. I absolutely promise you that you would win longterm. If you are just betting to have fun than go about capping and doing what you do as that is fine but if you want to win go with what I am saying. I have done this in hoops very succesfully for 6 staright hoops months and not lost yet. I know a ton of other that feel this way also.

Not saying this is the be all end all but for hoops it works and it is all you need to concentrate on. Now if I could only do this with baseball than I would quit my job and believe that isn't too far off in the distance as it used to be thanks to hoops, makes me sad knowing hoops is almsot over.
