i really cant think of a more uneventful ncaa tourney off the top of my head. theres been nothing compelling about the last 3 weeks.
* have there been any gonzaga/arizona or uab/wash (i think) kind of games that played into the 90s or 100s?
not unless you count that tennessee/long beach semi-yawner. sure the points were scored. but it wasnt really a game. otherwise, there hasnt been one of those wacky games that you hope never ends, even if you dont have a dollar on the teams involved.
* have there been any big upsets?
not at all. vcu against duke is about as boring an upset as there could be. especially since it wasnt a huge upset.
* have midmajors done anything?
not really. there have been no surprises. butler and southern were ranked and did about what was expected. advance a few rounds and then bow out with ok efforts. winthrop was lame after getting national hype.
* have the #1 seeds been dominant?
not at all. and thats almost as bad as there being no upsets. if there arent going to be many shockers, youd at least like to see the power teams dominate to set up some epic final four matchups. but its kind of a ho-hum final four. the best teams are there. but they havet exactly captured america's attention with dominant efforts over the last few weeks
i hate to be critical because this is still the best time of year as a bettor and fan. but this has been incredibly boring and uneventful.
