WOW!!! I know the market is hurting right now, but this is crazy. Seems like every day I get at least one call with special bonus offers, etc.....from solid books that never did this in the past. A few screwballs too......Eight years of being off shore and never got a single telemarketing call until this year. Anyone else getting bombarded with calls, especially lately?

Only one that's ever contacted me is BetCris. Last one left me a message and the only words I understood were "Betcris" and my name.

I've been getting quite a few. Diamond was calling me two or three times a day a couple of weeks back. I've had a few others call. I personally don't mind them. I only give out my cell #. If I don't feel like answering my phone I don't. If they leave a message I call them back if I am interested.

Heritage is getting unbearable. I finally told the guy tonight if he calls me again, I will never play there again. They have been calling at least once, sometimes twice/day for over a week.

I don't know why the hell they want me so bad. I beat BBB -107 for about $15k.

I got at least 4 calls from betcascade from different people. I think there is something wrong with the site.

My friend keeps on getting harrased by BETPOP! They've given him 35% BONUSES SO FAR! Tough to beat for a reup!

Politely asked them to stop - they didn't. Told them to stop -- they didn't. Finally emailed them telling them I'd never deposit there if they called again and the calls have stopped - for now.

Like it or not marketing evolves and books have realized their money is often better spent emailing effectively and calling effectively, than in magazines, billboards, radio, or even (Aside from this one of course!) on industry forums and the affiliates are drying up to boot.

Emailing and calling gets you more bang for your buck as a marketer in 2007. No negotiating with terrified U.S. advertisers, struggling with affiliates who are crapping their pants, etc.

Emaling and calling do not represent that the book is desperate or in trouble it represents they are aware that retaining a player is much less costly than acquiring a new one and much lower profile to boot.
