I played this the second half of last year with good results. Very streaky though.
I think you're supposed to start on Day 1, using the pitcher stats from last year. Apparently April is one of the best months for the system, as a lot of dogs come in.
I understand you are supposed to exclude the favorite team's pitcher in the Sag. Top 20. But let's say a team takes some super-duper reliever out of the pen to start a game...but he does not have enough innings pitched to be in the top list. Is their a rule of thumb? Or do you look at all of the lists (regardless of innings pitched) and exclude any pitcher in ANY top 20?
I've never really followed those Sag. USA today lists before. Any idea on how often they are updated?
if the opposing pitcher is in the top 20 you don't play and if the game is more than +150 you don't play...
but if the pitcher is not in the top 20 i would think getting more than +150 would be a good thing..!! or maybe top 30..
think about it... if you're facing a team's #3 starter and getting +170 i would think over the long haul that has a very good chance of being profitable... getting those ml odds against a mike pelfrey just bc he plays for the mets seems like value to me...
Should we play since first day . I see 7 games in monday with two pitchers in the TOP 20.
2 games fit dog system : Washington and LA Dodgers ; odds for Tampa is higher than +150 but like trentmoney said maybe it's also worth to take a look in dogs >+150
