Anyone else tired of hearing about these guys?

Geez, it's been like 15 years, and these guys are remembered for what??

They didn't win shit.

In fact, they didn't even win a conference championship.

Man, a lot of notoriety for a team with not even a conference title to its name.

I liked that ESPN piece...

Always felt that it would be great if some billionaire launched a real competitor to challenge ESPN...

But I will give 'em credit for those types of pieces.

Loved those black socks.

I remember I wasted 3 dollars on a pair of those Nike black socks because the Fab 5 looked so cool in them. Well, they look like crap on me.

Thanks for the fashion tip anyways fellas.

Fred Hickman used to do the local sports segment on NBC local news out of Springfield, IL when i was growing up.

Vince Cellini is now working for the GOLF NETWORK. Does a good job too. Vince was a TE at College of Wooster, in Wooster OH.

they might never have won a title or conference championship but they will always have their place in history.

the fab five was something like 55-13 in two years at michigan.
two national title appearances, one against a duke team that was one of the best college basketball teams of the last 20 years. i believe they also won the maui invitational against a loaded field in their sophomore year.

its not like they were a .500 team that was a media creation. they were friggin good. they beat some very, very good teams along the way too including that powerful ohio state team (imo, a team better than the one playing in the final four this year)

My favorite. Was the UNLV team that lost to Duke.

The all black matching kicks. Anderson Hunt!

I still remember the UNLV team that was robbed in the Final Four against Duke in one of the worst officiated games ever.

Kind of amazing that Chris Webber took money (family was well off), while Jalen Rose didn't take a dime (he was dirt poor and didn't know his father ex-Piston Jimmy Walker until he made the pros).

i dont know about 'well off' .... but certainly more so than rose.
bottom line is that there is no way they should be out of the michigan record books.

I never knew that Rose's dad was Jimmy Walker....Jalen became a very solid offensive player when he looked like he would be nothing more than a fringe NBA player, his career did end rather quickly though....his Indiana years were impressive IMO....they should have beat the Bulls in 1998...game 6 collapse.
