Greg Oden and Kevin Durant became the first freshman duo to ever make the NCAA All America first team.

Only two other freshman have ever made the first team as freshman ,who were they?

Note- freshman were ineligible to play college ball before 1972.

Laettner and Ewing?

I admittedly stink at trivia.

And now when I check their college stats, there's no way they were close. See, I stink at trivia...

no...I'm not surprised , and we may see more freshman making first team now with the new rules about players leaving high school for the NBA, combine that with players leaving early, and this is where we are.

yeah this is a tough one. at first damon bailey seemed plausible but i dont think he ever made a 1st team. i think he was 2nd or 3rd.

Chris Jackson was 1 the other i think was tisdale...

correct...when I read this I was surprised myself.

It seemed like a few other freshman over the years would have made first team....Keith Lee was a good guess, Pervis Ellison, Sampson

I loved LSU when Dale Brown was coach...they made some nice runs, the 1986 run with the Wilson brothers was impressive...anytime I think of LSU I can't forget that game where Kentucky and LSU hooked up in that amazing come from behind game.

48-32 at halftime and then it only got worse ... before the comeback. crazy ass game. 68-37 at like the 15:00 mark. travis ford should have no problem convincing his umass teams that any comeback is possible.

crazy thing about that kentucky game is that lsu actually fought off a handful of rallies. normally a team makes one good comeback push before running out of gas. but kentucky just kept coming and coming even though lsu held them off a few times.
