Since Neteller has now officially left the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on">US</st1:country-region> and N. <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">America</st1:place></st1:country-region>, for those of us serious about gaming, we need the books to pick up a new processor. I’ve scoured the internet looking at options, and it seems the best one out there right now is http://www.ecocard.com . I’ve heard that they just upgraded their servers last week due to increased visitors. They have been in business since 2000 and I have not heard of any complaints. They are not as convenient as Neteller because you must use a bank wire, but once your money is there, they seem to operate exactly the same. Unfortunately, only a few books use them. I think we should encourage books to start taking them. They are as cheap as neteller and moneybookers and they take US and especially Canadian users. Let’s market ecocard to the books.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Anyways, if you have time, please send an email to as many sportsbooks as possible encouraging them to start using ecocard.com. Below is a list of just about every relevant books email – feel free to add. <o:p></o:p>

Dear book,<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>
As you know, Neteller has now left the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">US</st1:place></st1:country-region> and now more importantly Canadian market. Many of your customers would like to wager with you, but have become accustomed to Neteller’s convenience and probably will not want to start using bank wires, WU, checks, etc to fund accounts. Thankfully, there is a company out there, who has been in business for 7 years and still welcomes US and Canadian residents. This company is http://www.ecocard.com. As someone who has either played at your book or interested in doing so, I ask that you look into accepting this company for money transfers. They have been in business for 7 years and I’ve never heard of any complaints. I am not affiliated with this company – just seeking a way to move money easily again. If you are not the person who would make these types of decisions, please forward this to the person who would. Thanks a bunch. If you guys start using these guys, I am sure I and many others will likely post up again soon.<o:p></o:p>

Seems like a good idea...only thing I don't like is that it feels just like a reloadable Visa Card that you can currently use at most shops. no? Without the ability to go directly from Bank Account to 3rdparty, it doesn't seem too much more then the reloadable CCs.

It is incredibly more convenient... You can send one bank wire to them and then load up 20 sportsbooks. Pain in the ass to buy 20 prepaid credit cards or more.

Additionally, you can withdraw to Eco card and move money around as balances get too big some places.... without buying more credit cards.

No instacash - gotta wire money once, but then just like neteller... Never have to go wire again or buy more credit cards and can move money from book to book.

Very True, I wasn't thinking like that.

You can wire as much as you want at once - wait a day or so for it to clear... Then you can fund as many books as you want, withdraw, refund other books, etc... YOu can wire or receive money via wire anytime you want.

This solution won't help people who sent instacash to neteller every week, but for those who posted up money before football and then used neteller to move money around, it is perfect.

How is Ecocard in regards to withdrawing? I'm guessing it takes the usual 1-2 days via wire?

I would guess 3-4 days... A day or two to wire and one to two to receive.

I will know in a few weeks, now that some books are using them.

It doesnt mean Mansion will take US players, but it means they are likely legit since I trust Mansion.

The US gov will have a hard time shutting them down if they arent dumb and dont come here. They don't use EFTs at all so no need to have any funds in the US.

Have never done any type of bank wire so have no idea how this works.
What do you do go into your local bank and say--I'd like to wire $500. to Ecocard and the teller simply does it and that's that? Can't be that easy--no questions---etc?

You get some info from the recipient

-Account number
-Swift code (Ach number if both banks in US)
-Bank name
-Account name
-Bank address.

Anyways, all that matters is account number and swift code, but your bank will ask for the other shit in case of error.

YOu banker puts it into the computer, has you sign a form and minutes later (Hours at BOA since they send once/day) the funds get to swift. Swift processes money to any bank in the world by swift code and account number.

If they are big banks, it gets there in minutes.

If small banks, they go through big banks and may take a few days.

You bank will charge you $20-40. There is no limit on how much you can wire.

After you send one wire some banks will let you wire via phone or more often fax.
