Why do we do what we do?

I know the answer is different for everyone.

I just want to hear your reason.

Is it for the money?
Is it for the challenge?
Is it for the thrill?
Is it just to make a game that you dont care about interesting?

Whats your reason?

My reason is for the challenge.

If I wanted to do it for the money I would bet a hell of alot more money than $100 to $500 per game which is my level right now, and I would never bet another NFL or NBA game again.

I would stick to only the few areas of knowledge that I know I have an edge in.

If I did it for the money, I would fund at least 20 outs instead of just the 4 that I am at right now. I would sign up for the premiem service at Don Best and not settle for anything less then the best number available.

But my reason for betting is not to try to win every last dollar I can win.

I just want to win more than I lose, which I can say I have done over the last almost decade.

Thats all im in this for.

If I did it for the money, I would spend much more time studying line moves and things like that. I know I could add many units to my yearly total if I did these things, but thats not my reason for sportswagering.

Whats your reason?
Whats your motivation?

Money and the fact that the games are more interesting is a nice bonus. For those of us who actually bet on sports it gives us something to cheer for.

for me i like to try and beat the book maker, i know he sets the lines so he can get action on both sides. and most of the time they are darn good at making those odds, but as you know sometimes they are WAY off. take the kansas game vs niagre kansas was a 19 point chalk, they were up at halftime by 25 points and they end up winning the game by 40 points, those are the games ya just want to hammer !!! bulldogboogers:money8:

It's the family business. We have been selling picks for 40 years and have made us and others lots of money.

i'm just a micro bet player who enjoys the challenge, and the linemaking process. making the lines in hockey and baseball are more fun for me than the "gambling" aspect. if i can make a little along the way i'm happy

For me, the main reason is to win some extra dough and mostly to make games that wouldn't matter, seem exciting. We usually only have one team we like in each sport, so what about the other 12 games going on that night? Especially when one of the golden rules is to leave emotional factor out of your sportsbetting (aka your own team), I find it a lot more fun to watch the Grizzlies and Hawks duke it out if I have a bet on the game...

best investment out there due to the leverage factor. I can bet $150,000 a month but I dont have $150,000 to invest in any other adventures. Win 3% off the money bet for the month and you are up a huge chunk of change. Good luck getting that money into play in other investments with a 20k bankroll of which only 10k is out in play.

Everything you mentioned.

Plus it kills some free time where I might have caught myself actually watching some bullshit on TV/video games. That shit seems like even more of a waste of time now.
