Any RX'ers smoke weed either to treat or for clinical depression or anxiety?
Or does anybody smoke up for any other health reason other than just for recreation?

Many doctors/medical studies recommend marijuana for depression and anxiety...its also helpful for nerve diseases, relieve pain from cancer patients and glaucoma, among others

you may want to see a doctor and take an SSRI (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor) like prozac, celexa etc. those should be able to help you. if you do go that route it probably isn't a good idea to mix anti-depressants with weed.

glenrobinson.. i've heard studies which support that idea but i've also heard studies that refute that.. From what I've read it can have beneficial effects on some people but also negative effects on other people. Everyone reacts differently

Absolutley...but people react different to anti depressents too,and if anti depressents aren't taken as prescribed they can effect you adversly too,or mixing them can have negative effects or at least not the results you are trying to achieve.

So to add to my question do RX'ers know of or believe there is a theraputic amount of weed to alliveate depression.
The reason I ask is that a common thread we all have at the RX is we are gamblers,so we have that in common with our mental makeup.

Weed is what you want it to be...it can calm a person...make a happy/sad.. make a person feel less pain or like a poster said here do nothing for them.
Again if you open up your mind weed call be what you want it to be....

I don't know about all the other stuff, but it's unlikely anyone that has road rage will do so while high.

If everyone smoked a fatty before driving, 7 Eleven would become the next Wal- Mart.

I'd caution you that pot - for some - can lead to moodiness the day after. But when you're actually high, it's all peace, love and eternal grooviness.

I think its a personal thing, can help some people and not affect others. Smoke a little and see if it helps, that's the best way to find out
