OK so looks like the US's DOJ took a big steamy shit on us and we no longer get neteller. What is the easiest way to transfer funds now? Does moneybookers work the same way?

We wait and see... No sense in my mind in gambling without a good money moving system. Hopefully someone steps up. In the mean time, with all my spare time, I will be marketing botox.

simply put, ask your book/casino/poker room /etc

they will be happy to tell you how to get around this situation, different companies have different deposit/withdrawal options so your mileage might vary

How is someone going to "step up"? The only thing that can be done, IMO, is heighten cooperation between books for book-to-book transfers. You'll see scam artists "step up" anytime now, saying they're the next Neteller. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. I'm not going to trust some Youteller, Wowteller, Theyteller, Fuckteller or any other teller.

Why did you trust neteller? Because some people tried them when they first opened up.

That's right. They had a track record by the time I started using them. I'm definately not in intersted in being one of the first to test the waters of a new "Neteller clone" to see if it's safe. Anyone who does is truly a gambler.

Me either, but the fact that Mansion has used Ecocard for 2 years without a problem is enough reason for me to give them a try with some funds.

Any Canadians here have experience using Moneybookers?

I wouldn't hestiate using the "next Neteller" if the books sign on. I use Neteller to transfer funds from book to book, so the time my money actually sits in Neteller is a matter of minutes, or even seconds. The books are the ones that need to be careful, so if they check them out and sing up, then that's good enough for me. If you manage your money correctly you have nothing to fear. If it turned out to be a fly-by-night operation you would have to be unlucky enough to have your money in there at the precise point in time in which they cease operations.

It works fine for me, but there are reports of poor customer service regarding replies to emails etc. Since I've only ever interacted with them online I don't have any experience in that area.

They also have very low limits for transfering into them, if you want to use debit or credit card. They police the U.S. gamblers, see other posts.

They were just bought by a company based in the Middle east for $107mm pounds. One would have to think the company plans to offer gaming transactions to spend that kind of money, but who knows...

The company also has a NYC office that would need to be closed first.

Only problem is that this UK company has just been sold to Investcorp which, despite having his main office in the Middle East, has an office in NY.

Moneybookers blocks gaming payments by U.S. citizens, so I fail to see how the U.S. will have any influence. No one really knows why NETELLER dropped Canada.

However, Middle East companies are not big on gambling.

BTW, does anyone know if CashU -- the middle east's other main e-wallet system -- accepts gambling transactions? I could not find any prohibition in their terms of service, however nor could I find any gambling merchants accepting it.
