Just got this in the mail from ECO Card! Looks like your posting didn't help things!

Without any more background information, that statement

"[FONT=geneva, arial]It is our assumption that international users are signing up for an EcoCard Account only after determining that opening and maintaining an EcoCard Account violates no laws or regulations in their respective country and jurisdiction. If you are an international user, you warrant that you are violating no law or regulation by your use of EcoCard, and you indemnify us for any and all liability that might arise from your use of the Service."

does not imply that US account holders are in violation and therefore cannot use their service anymore. (disclaimer: I'm not an account holder, and heck, I only learned about this name by seeing a thread of "Ecocard" recently).

Simply opening an account and DEPOSITING any money is not illegal under the UIGEA. The only problem with the UIGEA is how all financial instruments (transactions) coming into the US derived from online gaming should be legally blocked as outlined in the UIGEA.

Am I missing something here with EcoCard sending that notice? I think they are just saying in so many words, "FYI, we are not liable if you do break any laws but we are assuming that you are not violating any laws by using our product". I wish Pinny would do this if it meant they could continue doing business with US residents.

At this time you can still use ecocard for gambling transactions in the US.

At some time in the future, this may end. They have made no decisions and sound like they are waiting to see what the law says. They aint in Latvia for the beauty.

They have no intentions of barring gaming in Canada.
