This just hit me for some reason. They may be the worst team to win the World Series since the 87 Twins, or the 88 Dodgers. The pitching was bad all the way down the line.

They had many key injuries all season. They are old.

It just goes to show, that once you get into the postseason, anything can happen.

When was the last time the favorite won the WORLD SERIES?
The answer is, you have to go back alot years.

Carpenter, Pujols, and the fact that they just do not strike out. Small ball at its finest. I think they had the 2nd best K/BB ratio in the NL.

The same way Florida won the NCAA Basketball Championship last season

The better teams don't always win.

best player in baseball, one of best pitchers in baseball, one of best line ups in baseball, one of best managers of all-time.... this team has been winning for years...only a matter of time before they put it all together for a WS run!!

Sometimes mediocre teams win it all...I'm still wondering how Florida won two World Series as well....and sometimes the 6th or 7th best team in baseball wins the W.S. like last year.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Detroit, LA all choked...plain and simple. Detroit forgot what got them there and it was pitching.

The White Sox would have to have been considered a favorite? But not totally because of there late collapse. But they were one of the favorites because there was no true favorite that year.
