Check payout from bookmaker?

Just received a check via UPS from bookmaker. This is the first time I've received a physical check from an offshore because I've always used electronic methods. So forgive me if this is common knowledge.
The check I received is all hand written out for the exact amount I requested. But the company name is It's drawn off of a local Bank. Is this legit? It just doesn't look right to me.
Again, I may be overreacting but I wanted to be sure before I deposited.

If your bank takes it and it cashes, you will know...Is there really any other way?

Well, I know I could do it that way but I was wondering if any of you have received these type of checks from bookmaker (cris) before and had any issues.

Received a check from Bookmaker recently. Cashed it...no problems. Came much quicker than check from Sportsbook. Waiting on another from Bookmaker.

Well I probably am just overreacting. Skeptical side of me I guess. Let's see what happens.

i have had no trouble at all with those checks,i just deposit them and they clear in a few days
