I know they are far and few between these days, but there has to be a few left.

Those that count, do you prefer backcounting? I use to backcount religiously until a local casino pit guy was on to me. He was a complete prick too, telling me he knew what I was doing.

I use to go a couple times a week, now maybe get out once a month.

So, I mix it up, and they haven't a clue anymore

Not much point in backcounting these days, even DD is no mid-shoe entry; while shoes are usually at crowded tables so you can't get a seat.

I still do card counting - 6 deck shoes in CT and AC, and double deck out in Vegas. My bet fluctuation is not enough to make much at it compared to most counters or teams. But keeping it lower risk, lower reward has worked out fine over the years and still does. Better just to grind out a small profit over lots of hours, and enjoy comps.

I am, but not as much now

I used to be a heavy counter, mostly seeking out the great games off of the beaten path (foreign casinos, new "untested" BJ variants, etc). I usually prefer the DD game (as it's a good compromise to the SD games, by letting me get down a big spread). I've also done shuffle traking and ace sequencing at some of the poorly shuffled games. I don't play much now, as the EV is so much higher with the online sports. But, if it becomes more difficult to play on the net, I would certainly look to go back to the bricks and morter.

Backcounting too boring for me. I usually time my "bathroom breaks" to leave shoes though. Will also do "card eating" to force an early shuffle.
