How do these gift cards work?

From what I understand, I can walk into Walgreens or whereever and buy as many of these things as I want. Will they work at most/all books that take Visa/MC?

Am I better going to Canada and buying them up there if I dont want them declined?

How do the books pay out if you use these things? I assume the books do not recredit them - that would be useless. I also assume these things are anonymous which can't make the books happy.

Anyways, has anyone posted up with these things and then gotten a payout? What was the process?

Thanks,

Sean

Some that I have gotten reduce in value the longer you wait. Use them in the first month or so.

I know The Greek and BetJamaica take those cards for deposits.

I've heard of some guy depositing with a lot of these credit gift card thingies and going through verification hell on withdrawal. Why the book would need verification on gift cards is a mystery, but he had to do verification on each and every gift card. Considering gift cards come in very low denominations, you had better no throw away the gift card after using up its balance. You just might need it come withdrawal time, as the book will put you through verification hell.

Canada's not much use to American gamblers anymore. Neteller's gone and Canadian gift cards don't work any better than American gift cards. Plus the currency exchange fees to U.S. dollars will knockout 2.5%. Maybe only British credit gift cards are the answer. They only come in pound sterling but maybe they would be accepted at every site? Don't know, has anyone tried them before?

I have used the gift cards and they go through with no problem. I would not go to the Wal Mart or Walgreens as sometimes these do not work with International processors. You can go to any bank and purchase a Visa gift card and it should work with no problem.

Keep your receipt just in case you decide to withdrawal you can prove you did in fact purchase the card because the issue with the gift cards is because theirs no name on the card and some smaller books might try and use that as an excuse to not pay your winnings..........
