Obviously cheaper during the weekdays...every weekend in summer is usually booked so not too many deals. You can get cheaper rooms off strip, try SouthPointe....probably 50% to 75% less than higher-end chains.

I cant do off strip bro, gotta be in the middle, which is why I lean IP, not great on some stuff, but for location and price you cant beat it. BTW, does the IP have a pool? I have always heard arriving on a wed is the best day, although ive looked it up a little and didnt see much difference between mon-wed...

No offence GD. But the IP sucks!!1

Stay at harrahs if you need to stay in that area. I like the Rio. But its off the strip.

The Venitian is awsome. Stay there and gamble less to pay for it. Dont be cheap on the hotel.

For location and price, stay at the Barbary Coast.

Not offended at all. The best thing going for the IP is the location. The rooms and the elevators need work.

The Barbary is now called Bill's, it is the latest Harrah's property. Take that for what its worth.

Bally's is usually pretty cheap and right near IP. Paris is another one that is typically cheaper and both are nicer than IP. Treasure Island may be reasonably priced too, haven't stayed there in a while so not entirely sure.

Summer is BRUTALLY hot though, like 110 minimum. M-W are always the cheapest days. A lot of times you can get ~$60 rooms during those days, but there isn't shit going on. Clubs are all closed and no one is in town, that is both good and bad though.

Thats fine for me fhm, we just want to go gamble and hang out. I could care less about the hotel to be honest, I am in my room so little, why do I care? IP suits me fine for that, plus I like their poker room.

Speaking of which, GD, last time I was at IP I stayed 4 nights and played probaly no less than 30-35 hours in the poker room, would they help with any type of room for that or do they not do any of that? Actually I was suprised for as much as I played their I have not gotten anything in the mail from them.

Anyways, thanks for the help guys, ill look up a few of those other spots as well

i have never stayed at ip..... but i have seen all the cars in the show-room. from what i have heard... the ip has done alot of remodleing...so it might be darn good...but i know the price has gone up . the best buffea in vegas is at the rio but i have never stayed there.as in the venitian is another place that i have never stayed, i have heard it is very nice !!! my wife and i all-ways stay at the mirage, bellagio or mgm grand.now i have heard the nicest hotel in vegas is at the wynn..... but that will cost ya some bucks. my brother & i were at the mirage this past fri&sat and had a blast......we had old classmates come in from kansas and they were staying at the bellagio.......on the 27th or something floor.....said they paid 2 k a night.......i went up to the room.... and took some pic's... but it was way to much $$$$ to spend... for what ya got !!! heck your not in your room that much any-way !!!so go into www.vegas.com and find what ya want. i am quite sure you will be getting a rent-a-car so you can drive to your location.but for me the best place to stay in vegas is at the bellagio............... check out the pic's from this past week !!!! bulldogboogers from california

ECS,
If you used your player card you should have gotten $2 hour in comps in the poker room. If you didn't use your card, you got nothing. Feel free to call a host and find out if you have any comp dollars available.

I was unaware of that. Has Harrah's renovated the place?

Thanks,

Staying on the crap end of the strip is not too bad for the money you'll save. $5.00 gets you a 24 hour pass on the bus. Just take the bus down to the good end. You'll save like $20 to $40 per night just for a minor inconvenience. With the Wynn being built the two ends are not as far from each other as they used to be. Arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Wed. those seem to always be cheap days to go.
