A player from Toledo it does not surprise me one bit...talk about a team that always makes me wonder "WTF are they doing"...and that moron coach , sorry Woof but c'mon he makes some questionable decisions to say the least.

No beef here jman...this type of shit is going on all over the country and has for a longgggg time.

Money makes people do things they wouldnt otherwise do.

I still swear point guard terry reynolds was shaving points a few years ago.

Would not be surprised if his name appears before this case has been finalized.

I can remember on several occasions wondering WTF was up with Toledo Rockets games, whether it was coaching decisions or inexplicable mistakes...a big 'hmmm' to say the least...oh yeah and can't forget the refs either....some of the calls in that conference!

Where are all the naive naysayers at now that believe everything is on the "up and up?"

This crap at the college level goes on in a lot of places. This dumb bastard just got caught.

I stopped betting MAC games this year.
Too many odd circumstances.

It's only a matter of time until the MAC as a whole gets investigated.....as it probably should.

someone mentioned before how the MAC had had suspicious outcomes in the past and LV sportsbooks were suspicious

I dont know. This doesnt sound like fixing to me.

Sounds like they are just aware of the spread.

Players who agreed to participate were told about the betting line, the point spread for a particular game. If the team were a three-point favorite, anyone who bet on the Rockets would win if the Rockets won by four points or more.

Anyone who bet on the opponent could still win if the opponent lost by three points and less, the complaint said.

“Once Gary and the players knew the line, they would decide if they could beat the spread,” the complaint said. “If they were picked as an underdog by 10 points, they would decide if they could beat the 10 point spread. If they were picked as a favorite by a certain number of points, the players would decide if they would most likely win by that much.”
The real meat of the story seems to just be they are being investigated for accepting cash and gifts. Like pretty much any school could pretty charged with.

Outcomes dont mean anything.

It's betting patterns they would be looking for.

Then there was the NIU/Toledo game this past november, 2/3rds of it was played in the fog, i had NIU BIG on the ML, and they were stopped 4 times in a row from the 1 yard line to finish the game, what was that, reverse point shaving by Toledo?!

yea the same game the refs decided to call pass intereference TWICE on fourth down when the player wasn't touched, only to see the die on the 1.

Toledo also passed up a couple of real easy FG attempts in that one.

Sounds like a normal game. Unless you think the coach and the refs are in on it. haha.

I disagree , if you're talking to players about the spread obviously they have a good idea of what is up...

You ask them if they think they can cover -10 they say 'no we probably can't'...don't you think late in the game they would be more likely to give up a 'prevent TD' if they were up 14 knowing what they told the people who are giving them gifts???

... where there's smoke there's always fire.

That game was COMPLETLY fucked up, anyone who saw it knows it too, NIU RB was one of the bets in america, does nothing for 90% of the game. I still can't believe they didn't score from the 1.
