I was just curious if someone could point me in the right direction or figure this out on their own....as i have a system that i tried last year and had pretty good success with.

1. Could someone backtrack how often a home team gets swept in a 3 or 4 game series. Maybe backtrack at least 5 or so years. This would be greatly appreciated.

2. The system is simply this.....for instance

houston/atlanta (3 game series @ ATL)
Bet on atlanta (home team) to win at least 1 game of the 3 game series. Object is to win 1 unit. Once the home team has won a game in that series, you stop betting.

Also, another option that i would like to explore, as i think u have a potential for better value.

houston/atl (3 game series @ATL)
Bet on houston to win at least 1 game of the 3 game series ON THE ROAD. Same object as above....to win 1 unit.

Let me know what u think.

thanks:modemman:

i would love to see someone bring up a martingale system in which you use underdogs...

its much easier on the stress and bankroll...

to play a 150 fav. for all 3 games in a series hoping to win 1 would be:

150/100 if lose :
375/250 if lose :
937/625 if win you make 100 . if lose, you lost 1462 ..

playing a + 130 dog all 3 games .

77/100 if lose
136/177 if lose
240/313 if win make 100 , if lose , you lost 453

dogs win sometimes too ....

their are probably some decent spots though .

covers.com has previous seasons with lines listed .

go to baseball , then to teams , then past seasons.

hey , work with me here..... i think take any dog at +110 to +130 at the opening of a series and roll from there......

what would u consider a good spot.....i want to take the "handicapping" out as much as possible.

thanks

There are soooo many series. You could get crushed in week one. Why not try to get the sweep stats for the last 3 yrs. Then see:

1) what happens if home team wins first 2

2) what happens if rd teams wins the first 2

3) what is the difference (if any) if you eliminate the real shit teams.

ie pittsburgh,kc,wash and tampa bay

then you only have to look at games where the first 2 weren't split.

what is the stats on 4 game series if the first 3 go one way????

figure out who the best 8 teams are .

figure out who the worst 8 teams are

everybody else is the middle.

play any middle team on the road vs another middle team .

play any best team on the road vs any other best teams.

never play the worst teams in any situation.

now you figure it out from there . do your own homework.
