He said he's thinking only about UCLA....but when you listen to the way he words it, Kentucky is going to get in his ear as soon as this season is over...

I say Billy Donovan is going to be the next Wildcats coach. :drink:

Dick Vitale says he's staying at Fla. :missingte

The feeling here in Florida is that he has already accepted the Kentucky job.

If he wins his 2nd championship in a row, I just do not see him staying. He's coveted that Kentucky job all his adult life.

I think he's gone too.

Unless he is using it at a bargaining chip after season, it sure does look like he is leaving.

I don't understand why Vitale is going out on a limb and basically guaranteeing he's staying...sounds more like wishful thinking from Vitale who lives in Fla.

True, he built a program at Florida, but they are only averaging 13,500 a game.....not many fans for a program like Donovan's....

I dont get why guys leave other unless its a hell of a payday increase.

Never understand why you would fricking move your family from florida to damn kentucky to have to win in the next couple years or you are gonna be on your backside.

I would stay put and enjoy the spotlight.

The family/living conditions would have to come into play one would think, and these coaches today are killing it with these gazillion dollar deals...Location is the one factor that I could see him really wavering on....Fla or KY? What is in Ky besides Mr Hognuts?

You dont understand the mentality of coaches and athletes. Most dont like being complacent. They are always looking for new challenges.

See Jordan in baseball, golf, and gambling.

If Journey is Accurate.....

Journey , If DONovan Does Elect To Go To KENTUCKY......FVCKN Forget About It !!! He'll Make TUbby SMith look Like a High School coach !

personally, I've always liked Tubby ,but If he had Only Gotten past Mich state 2 years ago and gotten into The Final 4 , I think he wouldve kept his job. Instead , Tubby Will Be known as an underacheiver which is ashame since Many of His pupils left early like ROndo . Plus, I remember HOW Dwayne Wade n Marquette beat Them in The Elite 8 And Kentucky Was vastly superior .

If Donovan takes the Kentucky Job, He'll be in The FInal 4 Every Fvckn Year !

As a former assistant at KY he can't snub them and must at least give them a courtesy of an interview and an opp to state their case.

it will have tobe a pure desire to go to KY that will make him leave. UF is a very rich university with plenty of boosters to toss money, and endorsments his way. It would have to be a complete utter desire to go tp KY. Also got to factor in how much eh will lose in state income in KY as opposed to florida when you look @ the money side of things.
