WVU officials claim no responsibility for typo.

They contain a misspelling.
The "West Virgina" printed on the shirts players wore after winning the NIT title with a 78-73 victory over Clemson on Thursday night is missing the last "i" in Virginia.
WVU sports information director Shelly Poe said the NIT printed the shirts.
Calls to tournament officials were not immediately returned Friday.
West Virginia coach John Beilein also could not be reached for comment. He and the team were on their way back to West Virginia on Friday after winning their first NIT title in 65 years.

I saw this on Friday, they were talking about it on PTI. I was going to post something about it, but it didnt seem that funny to me. The mispelling just sounds like busted ebonix or something.

I feel bad for the kids, because they were holding up the shirts after they won. And had no idea.

So the screen printer gets this huge contract to make championship t-shirts , and can't even spell. Who said being PAID takes having a brain.

My friends hockey team was from the Peninsula. The guy who made the jerseys accidentally left off an N and they had to be the "Penis-ula's" for a few games.

In the professional women's fast pitch softball league, the team from New York needed a whole uniform top change in the inaugural season.

NFPL team from New Jersey, the New Jersey Juggernauts, has the tops change to 'Nauts, after the originals.. "Jug's" were refused to be worn by the team after one game.
