Ever play a M/L parlay with odd start times to possibly play a middle later ?

Example :

Parlay :

Golden St 1H M/L -400
San Ant. 1H M/L -250

100/75

Golden St . wins 1st half

Play Indiana + 4.5 in the first half vs. San Ant.

94/90

Now risking anywhere from 10 to 19 bucks to make 190 .

Could probably change the math to get it closer together.

not intentionally, but sometimes get into a spot where you might RR say 6 teams into two teamers ( 15 bets), first 5 teams win ( and 10 of the parlays), then a late game that closes out 5 parlays, I might shoot at a half-time middle there.

Off the top of my head I'd say your asking for trouble. Looking for the middle like you are means plenty of times going down on the first leg while not reaping the benefit of maximising your profits. Hedging is only benificial in odd occasions like twice a year bets or Horse racing where the odds are huge but 2 horse races on a regular basis spells doom. Then again someone like Dubpoet will say I'm only pretending what I'm saying. :drink:

you get quite a few first halves where a team is laying 4.5 to 6.5 and wins but doesnt cover .

seems like decent risk mgmt . to me in certain instances.

I dont understand why you need to look at this as a parlay as one result doesnt affect the other so its just a straight bet of trying to middle a M/L against a spread. Working the odds out would be easy but I'd say their against you. :drink:

Thats not to say you havent found a loop-hole in the Books prices, just needs to be clarified with honesty. No different to my betting 1st halves in NBA to eliminate the silly stuff that happens at the end of Games that to the Books euphoria makes it a lottery . :drink:

Your max win is 165, not 190

No loophole Winny, just needs to be examined more closely, found one hole already ( amount that can be won). The vig accounts for the chance to middle somewhere, he already won the -400 leg.

correct .. my bad .

i guess the better way to ask the question is if a 4 to 7 point 1H middle presents itself , would you go for the middle.

i wouldnt intentionally set it up for a middle .

i just like parlaying 1H M/L's . and sometimes i notice my first one is in and the second one has the dog + some decent points giving me a shot a middle .

NO, using current Pinny lines

GSW -385
Memphis +7 -112

One line has to be way off to be profitable, if so bet that one only. Pinny knows what they are doing.

Betting both basically creates a prop of " Will GSW win H1 by a MOV of 7" ?

lines ( and vig) account for the times you catch the middle,IMO.

I give up something here, but I also have 5 parlays dependant on the result of the last game, and might essentially have way more than I want on one game, and would sacrifice some juice to lower variance... I wouldn't know the first five games would be winners, or I'd bet everything I owned on a parlay of those five.
