I like them because you're basically betting on the starter only(but the odds obviously reflect that).

Dont know enough about Bases but it would appear that its the same as Basketball, you get rid of the nonsense that can happen at the end. I know it can go with you just as many times but I think its a psychological thing that can get your mind twisted after a while, bad beats eating you up. Betting halfway eliminates that as it seems things happen naturally, certainly in NBA :drink:

baseball bets are almost always based on who's starting .. so yes , i would say playing 5 inning lines is the way to go ..

now if you're playing against a team who's bullpen couldnt get a 12 year old little leaguer out , you may want to go ahead and play the whole game.

this forum will be filled with guys complaining about blown leads all summer...

The jist of what I was saying was that I hate losing due to a meltdown from a reliever or 2. I want to bet on the starter.

Betting on game is gamble but betting on half game is double gamble, IMO!

People betting the Rockies may want to consider this option as I saw Latroy Hawkins throw gas on the fire today.
