This looks like a really good spot for the Cincinnati Reds today going up vs the Cubs. First of all, Cubs are coming from Las Vegas where they played the Mariners in last 2 spring training games. Lou Pinella has been quoted that it was not a well thought out plan for them to play there to close spring training as he feels his team has been distracted and that curfew time and rules are extended and often times broken when in Vegas. Second, I don't believe Zambrano will be mentally ready for this game. He has been working on a long term deal with the Cubs that had a mandated date of start of opening day today to get done. I believe it was close yesterday though I have heard nothing yet if it was completed for 5 yrs 85 million approx. Third, it is Lou's first game and of all places back in Cincinnati where he won the WS back in 1990 with the Nasty Boys so figure lots of people to appease here. Reds on the other hand have their underrated horse Aaron Harang on the mound so definitely not a for sure win in a perfect world anyway for the Cubs. I believe the Reds are definitely the play in this one today. Love to hear others thoughts as I normally don't bet bases but love this situation today.
