The thread title should say Seattle. Oakland has the better pitcher, equal lineup. Better bullpen. Am I missing something?

Felix Hernandez had a good spring and is in better shape. Best arm in baseball by far, legit cy young contender imo.

Haren is not the better pitcher. This is not Harden.

Carlos Zambrano had a good spring...

Derek Lowe had a good spring...

Did not translate into opening day wins for either club.

Just pointing out he's starting to develop a better work ethic.

I don't see what a couple random examples of pitchers coming off good springs losing today means. So we should bet against pitchers coming off good springs? I mean who cares.

Or maybe we should research more than a spring and look deeper into both teams...

Oh ok...

Was just pointing out that because he had a "good spring"...that it really does not mean anything.

Glad you agree.

Because the A's owned the M's last year...and Felix Hernadez lost both starts against 'em.

No yeah I agree spring training means very little. However in this case it means a little something because its a younger player coming off a bad year. If he didn't come into camp motivated I would be concerned, its meaningful he's lost weight and worked hard in the offseason.
