I start with very few baseball plays the first week or so but when a game with these numbers comes up, it's a play. And we get them as a dog.

Last season Oakland went 17-2 against Seattle.

PLAY OAKLAND +115.

All my plays are actioin. My plays are NEVER based on the pitchers, but other factors.

Disagree with you. Felix is going to have a great year.

Better hope he has a better year than last year considering he's the ace of your staff. Made a ton of money fading his ass last year and plan to do the same this year.

I'm with you on this one. And people forget just how young he is. Not to mention that his pure stuff is filthy. He struggled last year, but he's only gonna get better.

We'll see what happens, though.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying he'll NEVER be a decent pitcher, but so far he hasn't shown me anything to make me believe in him. Wouldn't even THINK about laying chalk with him, that's for damn sure.

12-14 last year with 4.52 ERA and he probably averaged around -130 or so. Talk about a license to print money. Fade him until he gives me a reason not to.

12-14 4.52 ERA and he's your number 1 starter. Ouch.

Guy was a rookie last year, don't be so foolish to think he isn't going to be alot better this year. Have you seen him pitch?

Came into camp 20+lbs lighter this year and appears very focused. He wasn't guaranteed opening day but his spring performances earned this start. The guy is a legit phenom. Ask any GM if they could have any pitcher in the league who would they want and they'd all say Felix.

Last year was last year. This is a new year.

You can see I like the A's for other reasons but, to get a true picture of Hernandez, you need to break his year down from his last 10 starts to the rest of his starts. He started out great, but after hitters saw him a couple of times, he got hit very hard his last 10 starts. He probally is an above average pitcher, because of his age, but today is an A's win.

Get one GM who will say no. Name names. There might be one or two idiots out there but anyone who knows baseball knows the deal. Who would they rather have?

WAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Seriously, I hope for your own sake that you're a Mariner fan so that you're simply a homer as opposed to a retard.

Again, I'm not saying he's a terrible pitcher, nor am I saying that Seattle won't win this game, only that I've made a lot of money fading him and will continue to do so until he gives me a reason not to...when the games, uh, ya know, actually COUNT. Douche.

Are you ok? Why are you embarassing yourself publicly? You obviously just look at stats and don't watch the actual games.

Felix Hernandez has been the number one pitching prospect in baseball for the past few years, period. If you don't believe 90%+ of GM's would want Hernandez over any other pitcher and that he'll be a 500 pitcher the next few years you are a douche.

A's will lose because Bubba Crosby is drunk off his ass. Lets a ball go through his legs (a la Buckner) and drops a double play ball that would've ended the inning. Now down 4-0 thanks to this fool.

I was watching him pitch in A ball long before you ever heard of him, as he pitched for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, whose home stadium is ~5 minutes from my house.

I never said he was not hyped. I said that up until this point in his career he has not lived up to said hype and until the line catches up to his performance (or vice versa) I will continue to bet against him. Do you understand the concept of value? Remember the lineup he has behind him.

If you don't believe 90%+ of GM's would want Hernandez over any other pitcher

So laughable it's unreal. I'm sure 90% of GMs would choose Felix number 1 overall if they sat down and had a Fantasy-style draft over every pitcher in the league. Right.

...and that he'll be a 500 pitcher the next few years

I never said he won't reach his potential, just that he hasn't so far. He may, he may not. At this point, he has not lived up to the hype, hence the initial "he is not that good" as in 'he has not shown to be as good as everyone claimed."

Seriously, some of you take homer-ism to an embarrassing level. I act say that your as of now underachieving golden boy does not deserve to be a number 1 starter and you act like I raped your mother. Wow. Just wow.

This explains it, you just remember his stuff from A ball and not today.

Of course I understand the concept of value, thats why I'll be backing Felix alot this year because he'll be undervalued due to his stats last year.

Who would they draft? I've heard several GM's comment on Hernandez, his talent is off the charts and they know it. Sure if they are making a run at the playoffs this year they'd pick an established ace but for building a team its not even close.

He's had one full season in the majors. What did you expect in his first season? The guy became the youngest pitcher to start opening day today, you talk like he's had 2-3 bad seasons. Its not a question of reaching his potential, only when. You don't throw high 90's with sinking action and not become successful, its not possible.

Homerism? lol, get one of these tech people to check my ip. I live just outside of Toronto. Yes my east coast Canadian bias for the Mariners is in effect here.

How is he a homer? Fans of a bunch of teams have come out and said he is the real deal. People have been drooling over him for years...

Hernandez will win a minimum of 15 this year. Dynamite stuff, maybe good to ride him until the lines get more inflated on him. ONe problem is Seattle cant score.
