I am biased because I dropped from 1st place to 6th place in the final standings of the Greek Sweet 16 contest (costing me $1400) because of that little move.

Oden's numbers were off the charts tonight and throughout the tournament. There is no doubt he carried Ohio St to the final. The only reason he didn't get the much-deserved award was because Florida won. Show me the rule that says the TOURNAMENT MVP has to be from the winning team. Fuking Bullshit, if you ask me.

You're an attorney. Some law interpretations are bullshit, too. All about precedence. Right?

Apparently your charts don't hold very big numbers:

vs Xavier 14 pts, 12 rbs, 2 blks
vs Tenn 9 pts, 3 rbs, 4 blks
vs Memphis 17 pts, 9 rbs, 1 blk
vs G'town 13 pts, 9 rbs, 1 blk

:think2:

Brewer definitely deserved it. He was phenomenal against UCLA and great on both ends of the court again tonight.

Oden was sensational tonight, but certainly not against the Hoyas, when he wasn't on the floor enough to be a huge factor, and therefore earn MOP.

And there isn't a rule against a player on the losing team winning MOP. I think it's happened before, actually.

I think Brewer was actually the top player in the tournament. He practically had to guard the top players on the opposite teams and also was able to put up clutch baskets for his team. Played great on both ends of the floor

OSU played phenomenally when Oden was out and in foul trouble. I'm not saying that Ohio State is better off without him, but this tournament showed that OSU is way more than just Oden. You and Billy Packer need to quit sipping the kool aid on this one.

Are you fucking kidding me???

So you are saying that we should forget the fact that Ohio State lost the game by 9 points? An MVP award should not go to a player on a team that was soundly beaten in a championship game. You are whining because you lost a bet.

If they can award the MVP trophy to a losing player in the Super Bowl, why not the NCAA?

Oden had a great finals. Over the course of the whole tourney he did not earn MVP honors.

Brewer deserved it more than Oden.

actually I would have liked to see a team MVP type of thing for UF. but if one player, it was Brewer IMO

oden did not deserve the mvp. that was the 1st game in this tournament that he was the best player on his team. conley was reg season and tourney mvp for buckeyes this yr. i thought horford should of won it.

It is actually MOP, not MVP. Whether people interpret them differently or not I don't know. To me there is a difference between being most outstanding and having the most value. IMO, it is easier to win an MOP on a losing team than an MVP. But whatever, Oden was neither. I also think they only consider the final four, I don't think it is tourney MOP, only final four MOP.

If the latter is the case, I thought Horford should have won, but Brewer was pretty damn solid all around as well. Really good both offensively and defensively and hit some big shots. Horford went 9-17-3 against UCLA and 18-12-3 against OSU.
