Since I am a cable subscriber, I am stepping back into the stone ages and keeping tabs on games via mlb.com, due to no MLB package available...Just so happen to have the day off today and following the game with a couple units on San Diego....

Lets go Pads!!

1-0 SD after one inning!!

(I believe Bonds just recorded a stolen base before the inning ended...wow, the old guy can still run??)

I have the game on TV.

2-0 Padres in the 4th.

Bonds cost the Giants a run in the 1st inning. He was on 2nd with 2 outs and someone hit a grounder to SS to end the inning...but the SS threw it away. Bonds was jogging the entire time then tried to score when the ball got away and he was thrown out by 20 feet at home.

As I was typing, Feliz just booted a double play ball that would have ended the inning. Now 1st and 2nd with 1 out in the 4th for the Pads.

Peavy hits into 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.

3-0 heading to the bottom of the 4th.

Zito looks awful. Throwing puss! Topping out at 86. The Giants will greatly regret the deal they signed him to.

This begs the question...should there be a DH in the NL? Food for thought on this quiet Tuesday afternoon...

I am still in shock as a Giants fan...I was in shock when I heard the contract. He is one of the more overrated pitchers in baseball.

I would rather have Schmidt back.

I'm on the under 7.5 for +120. Let's hope Peavy keeps the shutout going and Zito learns how to pitch these next couple of innings. No late comebacks either.

Peavy looking sharp as hell. Watch out of he can finally stay healthy and get some run support. He already has an ERA and K title on his resume. His slider is wicked today.

Hopefully he's matured this season for the Padres sake.

Peavy has a temper which has what (IMO) fucked him the past. His teamates make an error, or he gives up a harmless 1-2 run HR and he loses control of his mechanics and just tries to blast fastballs down the middle.

If he's grown up a bit, there is no reason why he can't battle for a Cy Young this season.
