Reds righty Bronson Arroyo looks to continue his dominance of the Cubs when the two teams hook up tonight at Great American Ballpark. Last season, Arroyo went 4-0 with a 1.01 ERA in five starts against Chicago, including wins in his first two outings. In addition to striking out 26 in 35 2-3 innings he also homered in each of his first two games against the Cubs. Those are numbers that indicate DOMINANCE. Ted Lilly makes his Cubs debut after going 15-13 with a 4.31 ERA and 160 strikeouts. Chicago, with their high priced line-up, will eventually start hitting and putting up big numbers. It just wont be tonight against Arroyo.

Jason Schmidt was the crown jewel of the Dodgers off-season spending spree and is one of the dominant starters in the NL. Last season, Schmidt won 11 games for the Giants last season including two one-hitters. He was 1-1 against the Brewers last season with an ERA of 3.60. Jeff Suppan, who helped St. Louis to the World Series title last season, was the Brewers big off season addition. He went 12-7 for the Redbirds and 1-0 against the Dodgers with a microscopig earned run average of 1.04. Look for a great pitchers duel tonight between Schmidt and Suppan.
